Almamet Group Overview ALMAMET supplies all of the major chemical plants and steelworks in Europe, exports to Australia, India and South America. The sales volume for desulfurization reagents containing magnesium increased from 100 t in 1985 to more than 15,000 tons in 2007. The volume for desulfurization reagents containing calcium carbide has reached 22,000 tons. ALMAMET's line of products includes magnesium powder, chips, granules and mixtures of magnesium and magnesium alloys as well as lime and carbide, manufactured in production plants certified to ISO.
